Scotty
MacDuff joined our family in the summer of 2002. He was a
Scottie Rescue and one of the sweetest scottie boys we had ever
met. MacDuff had the most soulful brown eyes and a heart of gold.
Right away we discovered that MacDuff's beard had a life of it's own and his nickname quickly became . . . SALVADOR SCOTTIE! MacDuff had a long history of chronic ear infections (w/ many hematomas), and as a result had lost his hearing several years before entering rescue. Despite his hearing loss MacDuff was our most vocal scottie. MacDuff was full of mischief and could climb tables and chairs with ease. Every morning MacDuff would climb on top of his favorite chair, and then proceeded to bark and howl like a rooster! He also called the crew to dinner by standing in the center of the kitchen and arooing. MacDuff had hypothyroidism and
later developed Cushings.
Scotty MacDuff was best buds with Pogo and enjoyed watching Animal Planet with Tha Tasmeister and Gingerbread Girl. |
Zackary
Reeshard Scottie Hog was one of the original "3 DOG HOWL" Howlers. He was our sweet alpha boy who loved to arooo! He was also fast as lightening and gave the neighborhood squirrels a run for their money. When Zack played he would get sooo excited that he would jump in the air & then whirl in circles! We called this a Zack Attack! He was a pro at whirling and jumping! Zack fell in love with Michigan Maggie and followed her everywhere. She was also his partner in crime. We love and miss you, Zackary. |
Michigan
Maggie flew to Texas and joined Tha Howlers on
Dec. 12th, 1998. Little Maggie found herself in need of a forever home after her beloved owner was hospitalized and could no longer care for her. Diane Murray quickly came to
Maggie's rescue and made it possible for
the little scottie with tthe big personality to make the long journey
from Michigan to Texas.
Michigan Maggie was a perfect fit for our family. She was a lively and inquisitive scottie girl who immediately had Tha Howlers wrapped around her little paw. Maggie was a pro at sneaking food and we learned the hard way that she could open a pizza box, grab a slice, and leave without a trace! She also liked to walk on the back of the couch, and nap on the computer table. The only way to catch Maggie in the act was to pretend to leave, walk out and shut the front door, sneak around to the side window, and watch as she made her move! Such a smart little stinker! Michigan Maggie was the first female scottie to join THA HOWLERS! |
