or as it is more commonly know, bladder cancer. We were referred to the Dallas
Veterinary Surgical Center in Dallas, TX. This is a wonderful facility with talented
men & women who love animals as much as we do. They can & do work wonders
on a daily basis.
Tas was scheduled for bladder surgery on Jan. 3rd, 2002, at the DVSC in Dallas, TX.
the trigone (neck area) of the bladder. This area was debulked, but not contained.
Tas was also started on piroxicam. An anti-inflammatory medicine that also shrinks
certain types of tumors. Lucky for Tas, bladder tumors also respond well to this medicine.
His next check up was on January 30th, 2002. Tas had an ultrasound and results
showed a 50% DECREASE in the cells near the trigone area! Tas received his
second chemo treatment and continued to do really, really well.
